Analog Art

Skeleton - mixed media - 7th December 2017

Another college assignment. This one was fun!

Basically, first we went out with cameras (provided by our college) to take photos of buildings (and generally our surroundings, I think? I don't remember exactly). Then we had to pick one photograph, print it out, and incorporate it into a drawing/painting. The theme for this one was, if I recall correctly, the human body. So obviously I went with a skeleton. I found one picture where balconies of some random building looked a lot like ribs and I just worked from there.

Art supplies I used, other than the photo cutout, are: charcoal, inks, and white paint.

This photo was taken with a toaster quality camera all those years ago but someday I will hopefully replace it with a better one.
